Mike was introduced to gaming with old computer adventure games like Quest for Glory and King’s Quest, as well as D&D-style adventure board games like Hero Quest and DragonStrike. With the decline of the PC adventure genre in the late ’90s, he began branching out into other styles of gaming to meet his entertainment needs, including Dungeons & Dragons 3rd edition. He has been involved in tabletop gaming since then, recently taking a greater interest in independent role-playing games. While he enjoys exploring the psychological and philosophical issues that games can raise, he also tries to maintain a practical outlook on the subject. Mike’s philosophy is if it’s fun, play it.
